The Inspirational Speakers for the DayÂ
Jack Nolan
When Jack Nolan was 19, he was sectioned under the Mental Health Act for showing signs of psychosis. His hospital admittance meant he had to drop out of university and sacrifice his dream of working in TV and Film production – a career he had started to build up as a runner whilst studying.
He spent 19 days in the hospital, but recovery was tough, and he was unable to find the strength to even move from the bed to the settee, let alone get washed, dress, or face the outside world. But he was determined to fight back and fight he did…
Jack spent over a month contacting a particular publisher he wanted to work with, and eventually, he got the publishing contract for the novel he was after. Three months later he had a book launch and he found himself on the shelves of Waterstones.Â

His first novel, On The Job, was released in 2017 and was followed up in 2019 with Dead Ends, and Dead Ends:Rise Up in 2023 all three were gangster-themed crime novels.
Sadly, after two years of rebuilding his life, he became unwell again, showing signs of mania and paranoia. He found himself being sectioned again, and spent 30 days in the hospital; once again he had to rebuild his life.
Now in his late 20’s, Jack Nolan has faced more personal and professional adversities than he can count, from relationship breakdowns to mental health struggles, to losing big investors due to unforeseen economic circumstances. He continues to bounce back and prove his resilience with his bulletproof mindset approach to life.
Jack’s adversity and motivation to get on with life has seen him successfully inspire audiences from corporate companies, including Barclays Bank, Camelot Lottery, Hewlett Packard, Reckitt and many more!
