Important Event Information 

ENSURING AN ENJOYABLE AND SAFE EVENT FOR ALL TO THIS WONDERFUL PLACE. PLEASE BE AWARE THERE ARE POTENTIAL HAZARDS AND RISKS IN THE GARDENS. TAKE CARE BY FOLLOWING THESE RULES.

UNEVEN SURFACES

The event site has steps, steep inclines and drops. Public areas are all on grass and stone, so the ground may be uneven and slippy underfoot. Do not climb on structures or trees. Keep to designated footpaths and bridleways and be considerate of other people in the area.

CHILDREN

All children under 16 must be supervised and accompanied by an adult.

Accessibility 

The majority of the activities are included in the cost of the ticket. Some activities charging extra will be announced on our social media but these can be booked prior to your arrival. You will need cash & card for food and drink, 1:1 healing and merchandise stalls. Some stalls and activities require cash alternatively they may allow a paypal or bank transfer. Due to the venue, lack of wifi and phone signal we strongly advise that you bring cash with you.

ASSISTANCE DOGS

On this occasion, for safety, this event is limited to assistance dogs only.

WEATHER APPROPRIATE

Please ensure you come prepared for British weather, with sunscreen/waterproofs as appropriate.

NOISE VOLUME

Exposure to loud music may cause damage to hearing. Whilst this is not a music event there will be drumming, and live music will be played. Please bring ear defenders/plugs if you require them.

THINGS TO REMEMBER

The Family Wellbeing Festival is committed to offering a fun, friendly experience. Please make sure you read the below essential information in conjunction with the event terms and conditions carefully; we want everyone to enjoy themselves and have a great time in a safe and secure environment.

OPENING TIMES

Family Wellbeing Festival 2024 will take place on Sunday 16th June from 11am-6pm (Queued entry access for people with disabilities and additional needs from 10.30am) and last entry: 5:00pm.

Due to the vast clean up after the event we ask that you vacate the area by 6.30pm to allow for take down of equipment and vehicle access.

LOCATION

TICKET HOLDERS

This is a Ticket only event. All tickets purchased online via Eventcube can be downloaded and printed or saved/screenshotted on a mobile phone for scanning. Due to poor wifi and network signal it is advisable to screenshot or print your ticket.

Tickets will be exchanged on-site for wristbands by event staff. Wristbands are non-interchangeable and should not be removed during the event. Lost or broken wristbands cannot be replaced, so please look after them. Anyone seen without a wristband by event staff will not be able to participate in the activities.

Children under 10 will require parents/carers contact telephone numbers on wristbands in the event of emergency.

ACCESSIBILITY

There will be disabled parking ONLY with a confirmation email on the Lower Car Park off Sheep House Lane. Please email [email protected] with proof of ticket purchase.

AGE RESTRICTIONS AND ID

This event is suitable for all ages. All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult at all times to be able to access the activities.

Due to the nature of this event this is an ALCOHOL FREE EVENT – anyone wishing to bring alcohol this is not the event for you.

Staff and volunteers will operate a Challenge 25 approach on arrival and during the day with the activities. Children must not come without their accompanying adult/carer and will be refused access.

FOOD AND DRINK

A range of food and drinks will be available to purchase at the event. Food stalls, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options will be accessible to all ticket holders. Please bring your blankets and ensure you collect all rubbish - bins will be provided for disposal and please use them.

  • Water Sports – Anderton Centre (pre-bookable Its Mental from 29th May) 
  • Land Sports – Including Go Ape (pre-bookable Its Mental from 29th May)

  • Food and Drink stalls
  • Toilet facilities
  • Disabled toilet facilities
  • Designated smoking areas (including vaping)
  • Recycling facilities
  • First aid facilities

No seating is provided at the event; however, you are welcome to bring picnic blankets and/ or folding chairs if weather conditions are fair. All blankets and chairs are to be taken home at the end of the event.

ACCESSIBILITY

Due to the nature of the event and some parts being undercover we ask that only your dogs stay at home. Assistance dogs and guide dogs are the only animals permitted on the site.

SMOKING/VAPING

Smoking and vaping is restricted to designated areas at the perimeters of the event space. Bins will be provided for cigarette butts; anyone seen discarding them will be subject to a fixed penalty notice and removal from the event. Anyone seen to be smoking or vaping in public areas will be removed from the event.

As seating is not provided, you are welcome to bring picnic blankets and/or folding chairs if weather conditions are fair. All blankets and chairs are to be taken home at the end of the event.

THINGS NOT TO BRING

The following are all prohibited items and may not be brought into the event. We are unable to guarantee the safe return of items to their owners, so please do not bring any of the following to the event with you – they will be removed and disposed of:

  • Umbrellas
  • Gazebos / tents
  • BBQ’s
  • Illegal substances
  • Glass
  • Hi-visibility vests / tabards
  • Balloons
  • Flares/fireworks
  • Laser pens
  • Air horns
  • Aerosols
  • Paper lanterns
  • Candles
  • Alcohol
  • Drones
  • Unidentifiable substances
  • Any item that event staff deem as a weapon or a potential risk

Food and drink

Picnics (NO BBQ’S) can be brought on to the event site but strictly no alcohol – bins will be provided

Lighters and matches

Lighters and matches are only to be used in permitted smoking areas. 

No Swimming in the lakes of the Gardens.

SECURITY
For everyone’s safety, all attendees will be required to clear security before entering the event and you must have a wrist band to participate in the activities. 
Security staff will also be patrolling in and around the site before, during and after the event for your safety and reassurance. Spot checks and searches may be carried out.
