How Does CBT Work?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy based on the concept that your thoughts, emotions physical sensations and actions are all connected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a vicious cycle.

CBT aims to help you deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts. You're shown how to change these negative patterns to improve the way you feel.

Unlike some other talking treatments, CBT deals with your current problems, rather than focusing on issues from your past. It looks for practical ways to improve your state of mind on a daily basis.

The main principle of CBT is "What you think and do, affects the way you feel." You will learn to identify any unhelpful thoughts, beliefs and behaviours that are maintaining your problem. We will work together to make changes to these thoughts and behaviours to improve the way that you feel.

We will explore your current problems and agree a treatment plan.  You will learn new therapeutic techniques to improve your psychological health and wellbeing.

We will establish your specific therapeutic goals and determine what you would like to change as an outcome of coming of therapy.

 What Is CBT Online Therapy?

CBT online therapy is a phrase used to describe mental health counselling from the comfort of your own home, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy practices in your treatment.

Sometimes referred to as “e-therapy” or “internet therapy,” online therapy is not for people who are in the midst of a mental health crisis. it is a way for people to get easy, convenient, and reliable counselling that tends to be cheaper than in-person CBT therapy. In addition, it can also be a real help for people who have mobility issues or simply live too far away from a licensed therapist for it to be convenient.
